Massey Band Identity

Project

Massey’s sound blends acoustic folk, Americana, and soulful ballads, songs about family, growth, nostalgia, and connection. The visual identity needed to hold that same duality: rustic but modern, plainspoken but rich. For the EP’s cover, I used an original painting by band member Lucas Simmons, a field of green giving way to a dark tree line and a soft sky, depicting land that’s been in a bandmate’s family for generations. That same rootedness carried into the logo mark, understated and confident, built to feel enduring rather than trendy. Paired with a muted, earthy palette, the full identity extended from the album art to the logo, merch, and a style guide built to carry Massey’s sound forward.
